PostHeaderIcon Photo Hunt Saturday: Hanging

Bella doesn’t really like to be held, except occasionally when she is in the mood, but she didn’t seem to mind hanging in a towel like this, in fact she seemed to enjoy it!

PostHeaderIcon Photo Hunt Saturday: Triangle

Cat ears are triangles! Here is a Taco ear:

Sumari has little baby triangle ears: And Bella has huge triangle ears: And Mango seems to have the pointiest ears:

Mango also seems to have a rather pointy triangular face too:

PostHeaderIcon Photo Hunt Saturday: Purple

Purple is one of my favorite colors!  We have lots of purple flowers, here’s Taco posing with some of them:

Playing with the photoscape software here, this is called “lens flare”

The orange and yellow flowers on the left are nasturtiums, we always plant a lot of them because they are edible and are so beautiful in salads.  They taste somewhat like radishes.

Here are some pretty pansies.

PostHeaderIcon Photo Hunt Saturday: Six

Let’s see, what do I have six of?

PostHeaderIcon Photo Hunt Saturday: Bubble

I can’t believe I got these photos!  OK, I was up on the porch holding the soap solution  with one hand and holding the camera with the other while blowing bubbles and taking pictures.  This is what I got:

PostHeaderIcon Photohunt Saturday: Sparkle

Hmmm…sparkly collars for Princess Sumari, which one to choose?

This one fits! It’s beautiful and it sparkles, what do you think?

PostHeaderIcon Photo Hunt Saturday: Memorial

Vindication is a memorial that is dedicated to pets and pet owners that have suffered because of contaminated or poisoned pet food.

Five acres of land at Keystone Lake in Oklahoma have  been donated to all Pet Owners.  Five acres in the very center of the United States given to us; a memorial to focus on the very center of the problem.

From the 2007 melamine pet food recall alone, some estimates are as high as 300,000 U.S. and Canadian pets became sick, died, or are still fighting kidney disease. Countless thousands more pets have become sick from recalls or silent recalls of tainted pet food since.

No laws have changed, no lawsuits have been settled, none responsible have been jailed.  No one has told us how many died or remain sick; no one tells us how many continue to become sick and/or die from new recalls.  Today, we barely even know the partial truth of pet food risks.

One shattered pet family, fed up with the continued snubbing of industry and government, decided enough was enough.  Every single pet that has died or remains ill because of a pet food will be remembered; why these pets became sick and/or why they died will be remembered too.

PostHeaderIcon Photo Hunt Saturday: Half

Sumari is HALF the size of Bella!

Here is Sumari, the Itty Bitty Kitty:

She weighs about 6 1/2 pounds:

And here is Bella:

I thought Bella would weigh about 15 lbs at least (she’s HUGE) but she weighs 13 lbs:

Yes, I enticed the cats with ‘nip and treats!

PostHeaderIcon Photo Hunt Saturday: Mom

Well, since I am the mother of seven awesome kids, I thought I’d post a photo of our family.  This was taken five years ago, and everybody has changed and grown up a lot, but it’s one of the only photos of all of us together.  My beautiful daughter (on the far left) is soon to be a mom herself, and the photo on the mantel is of my mother, born in 1914 and passed away in 1986.

There are a few extra family members in this photo, my daughter’s boyfriend (who is now her husband) and a dear friend of our family.  I guess I shouldn’t give their names because nobody has given me permission to even post their pic.  Of course no family photo would be complete without Taco!  Mango was most likely hiding.

PostHeaderIcon Photo Hunt Saturday: Black

Bella has black fur on the bottoms of her paws, here are her back paws:

And the front paws:

She is not happy about me holding her gigantic paws up for picture taking!

PostHeaderIcon Photo Hunt Saturday: Addiction

I think just about everybody has something that they are addicted to.

Taco is crazy for catnip:

Bella likes her ‘nip, but she can’t resist running water:

Mango loves ME, but I can’t say that it’s an addiction! Sumari is addicted to bugs, she just can’t pass one up.

And my addiction is most definitely skating!

PostHeaderIcon Photo Hunt Saturday: Covered

Here is Mango playing hide-and-seek with Bella, he thinks he’s COVERED but doesn’t realize that his whole rear end including his plume of a tail is exposed!

Another try:

Here’s Sumari, with her head covered with Seth’s hat:

My guess is on the grey one for both incidents, but he’ll never admit guilt and the others are keeping mum.  Especially in the catnip incident in which they all took part in the spoils.

PostHeaderIcon Photo Hunt Saturday: Curved

There are so many curved things in this photo, I don’t even know where to start!

Sumari is curved, so she can fit on her newest Favorite Spot, the curved toilet seat!

Look at all the curved branches in this Cat Tree photo that Seth made a few years ago:

And here is Mango and his gorgeous plume of a tail, it is curved to tell us that he is happy!

PostHeaderIcon PhotoHunters: Triangle

This is my friend Maryanne’s cat, Remo.  He has a very triangular nose. We think Remo is very handsome!

PostHeaderIcon PhotoHunt: Hat

We’ve posted this before, but it’s the only hat pic we could find!  Taco is, as usual, very relaxed.

PostHeaderIcon PhotoHunt Saturday: Wide

This is Mango, nibbling at the fur on his left furry leg.  He does this to make sure he is fully fueled for his next PURGE.  See, he has to open his little furry legs WIDE to get a good helping of FUR!

Here is Sumari’s favorite place to play…
